Donor Communications Project Manager

Position Mission

The Donor Communications Project Manager plays an essential role in coordinating the production of creative and strategic communications that engage and inspire benefactors. This individual ensures that creative projects are well-planned, effectively managed, and delivered on time and with excellence.

Working closely with Marketing and Mission Development, this role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for clear communication, and a love for the Church's mission.

Position Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage incoming project requests through the team’s intake system
  • Build and maintain production timelines for projects from concept to delivery
  • Track and assign tasks to the Creative and Marketing teams using project management tools like Monday.com or Smartsheet
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, task boards, and calendars

Creative Production Coordination

  • Coordinate development of key donor-facing materials, such as:
    • Annual Report
    • SEEK benefactor content
    • Monthly Mission Story
    • Pledge reminders and custom letters
    • PDFs, donor videos, and other collateral
  • Ensure all creative assets meet deadlines and align with messaging and visual standards

Cross-Team Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between Donor Communications and other departments (Marketing, Mission Development, Events, Alumni, etc.)
  • Ensure that project stakeholders (Recommenders, Approvers, Consultants, and Informed individuals) are engaged and kept up to date

Administrative Support

  • Provide occasional support to the Director of Donor Communications, including scheduling, note-taking, printing, and correspondence preparation
  • Assist with departmental reporting, resource organization, and internal communications tracking

Process Improvement

  • Help research and implement best practices in creative project management
  • Identify areas for increased efficiency in workflows and communication

Qualifications

  • A practicing Catholic or Christian in good standing with the Catholic Church.  There is no other background, qualification, or experience that can substitute for this requirement.
  • 3–4+ years of experience in project coordination, nonprofit communications, or creative production
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with project management tools like Monday.com or Smartsheet
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and time management
  • Mission-aligned and excited to serve the Church’s evangelization efforts

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we anticipate paying $50,000 - $60,000/year. (This role is also eligible for bonus pay.) This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
