Position Mission

TheOperations Manager supports the day-to-day operational excellence of the FOCUSMission Foundation by designing, implementing, and monitoring systems thatenable people, processes, and communications to run smoothly. This rolepartners closely with executive leadership to ensure compliance, clarity, andconsistent execution across internal operations and stakeholder communications,freeing leaders to focus on advancing the mission.

Position Responsibilities

  • Operational Support and Systems
    • Design, implement, and monitor core operational systems that support FMF staff and leadership.
    • Oversee people-related operational processes, including onboarding, offboarding, HR performance tracking, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
    • Maintain clear documentation and workflows to ensure consistency and continuity across teams.
  • Legal and Compliance
    • Support compliance-related processes and documentation in coordination with leadership and external partners, as needed.
    • Ensure operational practices align with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Gift Tracking and Stewardship Operations
    • Manage systems for tracking restricted and designated gifts.
    • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and coordination with finance and development teams to honor donor intent.
  • Internal Communications Management
    • Manage FMF’s internal communication systems and rhythms.
    • Gather and submit information for the Weekly Mission Development (MD) Pilot.
    • Coordinate FMF All-Staff Meetings, including invitations, schedules, agendas, and talking points.
    • Review staff and stakeholder surveys and develop methods to surface insights and address concerns.
  • External Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Oversee systems that communicate the story of FMF’s progress and results.
    • Support the development of a clear narrative around FMF outcomes and impact.
    • Identify key stakeholders and help build systems for consistent engagement and follow-up.
    • Track progress toward goals and highlight results for leadership and external audiences.
  • Executive Support
    • Provide high-level administrative and operational support to executive leadership.
    • Respond to ad hoc operational and communications requests.
    • Assist with the preparation of talking points, slide decks, and presentation materials.
    • Review and support external executive correspondence to ensure clarity, alignment, and professionalism.

  • A practicing Catholic or Christian in good standing with the Catholic Church.  There is no other background, qualification, or experience that can substitute for this requirement

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail paired with the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience supporting executives and senior leaders.
  • Comfort working in a mission-driven, faith-based organization.
  • Proficiency with common productivity and communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management platforms).

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we anticipate paying $55,000 - $75,000/year. This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
